In order to "support talented authors" and take into consideration the economic and social situations in Afghanistan and other Dari-speaking countries, the Journal of Urban Planning and Architecture plans to provide the accepted articles for 2023 with a 65% discount (1225 Afghani, or 15 dollars), to publish after going through administrative procedures and double-blind peer-review.

The Journal of Urban Planning and Architecture also waives printing fees for authors. If a valuable article is submitted, the journal will not refuse to publish it because the printing costs have not been paid; Therefore, writers who are unable to pay are urged to contact the editorial office at jupa@journal.af with a brief explanation of their financial status.
